Homogeneous medical vinyl
Homogeneous vinyl, 2 mm thick: one layer from the surface all the way down, so the surface stays the same as it wears. A PUR layer on top makes it easier to clean and needs less polishing. It is not the ordinary PVC flooring laid in houses.
Specified for hospitals and medical centres
Bacteria and fungi do not grow on the surface, tested to ISO 846. Antistatic, under 2 kV, a level required in rooms with sensitive equipment. Fire rated Bfl-s1, slip resistance R9, and classed for heavy use, class 34 and 43: corridors and rooms in constant traffic all day.
Heat-welded seams and coved skirting
The seams between the sheets are heat welded with a welding rod, so the floor becomes one piece with no water or dirt getting in. The skirting curves up the wall instead of a sharp corner, so nothing collects there and one pass of the mop cleans it.

AskWhat is the difference between homogeneous and heterogeneous vinyl?
Homogeneous vinyl is one layer from the surface all the way down, so the surface stays the same as it wears. Heterogeneous vinyl has a thin wear layer over a backing, and once the wear layer goes the backing shows.
AskHow is it different from ordinary PVC flooring?
Ordinary PVC flooring is for houses. Medical vinyl is homogeneous, 2 mm thick, with welded seams and coving up the wall, and it is classed for heavy use.
AskHow long does medical vinyl last?
Manufacturers put homogeneous vinyl at 15 to 25 years. How long it actually lasts depends on the traffic and the cleaning.
AskWhat does antistatic mean here?
The surface does not hold a charge, which matters in rooms full of sensitive equipment. The datasheet reading is under 2 kV.
AskHow is medical vinyl cleaned?
